March Awareness Days

I know we have had several spirit days and field trip days, but just a reminder of the dress code: jeans are only allowed to be worn on Fridays unless otherwise noted by administration or you are participating in the optional jeans day and have paid $1.00 to Stacy and received your colored sticker for the day.

If you have any questions regarding the dress code, please reach out to your AP.

Student-Centered Coaching

Last week several team members were able to participate in the Learning Forward Conference. This learning opportunity was a great chance for our team to dig deeper into the PLC processes and create more PLT leaders within our building.  While there are more conversations to come from those who participated, I wanted to share some great learning images we had.

Professional Learning Needs Assessment

It is the time of year in which the PL Advisory seeks your input regarding your professional learning experiences and needs this year. The purpose of this survey is to inform and evaluate professional learning and guide future professional learning at the site and district level.   All responses are confidential and shared with each site specifically for reflecting and planning purposes. Please complete the survey between now and March 28.   If you have already taken the survey this week via a link from your leader, you can disregard this email.

Each year your responses influence decisions made regarding the ways in which site professional learning is offered, the focus at Teach Forward, and district professional learning opportunities.  As you complete this survey, consider the professional learning you have done in your PLTs, as a staff, and at the district level during the 2024-25 school year.

Elementary School: Competencies are always open and can be posted at any time.  The grade posting for 3rd quarter will close 3/24/25.

Foundation Grants

First, I wanted to share the JJ Memorial Scholarship Information.  I feel the individuals who work in our building love working with our students, I would hope if anyone on staff was interested in the field of Special Education.

Second,  If there are items or projects you would like tortoise funds for the Pick A Project initiative are very useful.  As many know we are not allowed to do this process on our own, but the Foundation can push out these projects for you.  Items like: Trunk or Treat, Baby Doll Circle Time, Author & Illustrator visit, Thanksgiving Assistance, etc.

Finally, Back to School Grants are super AWESOME!
